Srinagar 08 October (KNB): People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday took out a unity march on the recent civilians’ killing in the valley and was stopped by police, said PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti.

With the preventing PDP from taking out a unity march on the killing of civilians in Kashmir, Mehbooba said that ironically the government of India spreads canards that Kashmiri Muslims don’t stand up for minorities here.

She further said that the truth is that this vicious hateful propaganda suits BJPs electoral narrative & prospects.

“PDPs attempts to take out a unity march in view of recent targeted killings was stopped by police. Ironically GOI spreads canards that Kashmiri muslims don’t stand up for minorities here.Truth is that this vicious hateful propaganda  suits BJPs electoral narrative & prospects,” tweets Mehbooba.

“It’s been established that security agencies had prior information about such attacks. Yet they failed to protect these innocent lives. Is it because they are too busy devoting all their energies to firing government employees & impounding passports of common Kashmiris?” she added.

She further said that “Even until yesterday, the security grid was completely immersed in organising normalcy picnic tours & horseback riding for visiting ministers. Perhaps these attacks could have been averted if their sole focus wasn’t these ministerial visits & normalcy acrobatics.”

“Everyone here is living in an atmosphere of suppression & fear. Heads must roll & those who are at the helm should be held accountable for these repeated security lapses,” Mehbooba added in the series of tweets. (KNB)
