PDP Leader Hits out at Governor, Says experienced worst winter with no arrangements

Srinagar, Feb 07(KNB):Former CAPD minister and senior PDP leader Mohammad Ashraf Mir Hits on governor and administration said, despite timely prediction of heavy snowfall, authorities are yet to clear the roads and restore electricity in several areas of Kashmir Valley.

Talking to Kashmir News bureau on phone Ashraf said, “Government administration has miserably failed as there is lack of proper arrangements for this harsh winter, people are being forced to suffer, we have experienced the worst winter with frequent power cuts, lack of buffer stock of transformers, damaged transformers not repaired yet while at various places the pace of snow clearance is slow even at some places snow had not been cleared from the roads till now.”

He further said, “people continue to suffer a lot and this has been worst experience since Government administration has taken over.”

Earlier, heavy snowfall in the Kashmir Valley on Thursday has adversely affected life across the state with people forced to stay indoors without electricity at many places, road links snapped and flight operation disrupted.(KNB)
