Jammu 7 January (KNB): A man was electrocuted to death while repairing a High Tension power wire in Bhangai village area of Thanamandi in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Identified as 35 years Mohammad Makhna resident of Banghai Thannamdi, received an intense electric shock while repairing a high-tension line of the village, resulting in his on spot death.
Locals of the area raised their voice against PDD and said that Makhna was registered as a daily-wager in the department and lack of basic safety equipment for these workers is a proof of the department’s failure.
Regarding the incident a police official said that an investigation in the matter has been initiated. (KNB)
