Kupwara 1 February (KNB): A 23 year old woman died and four sustained injures after a vehicle lost control and fell into a nallah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Officials said that a vehicle (Alto) bearing registration number HR51 AU 7420 skidded off the road as the driver lost control because of slippery conditions caused to slight fresh snowfall during the morning.

The vehicle fell down from the bridge into the channel (nalla) at Kralpora.

In the unfortunate incident, five people, who were on board of the vehicle, got injured and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, official said, adding that one of the injured identified as 23 years old Usma Iqbal D/o Mohd Iqbal Bhat of Rashipora, scummed to her injuries.

Four others injured were identified as driver of the vehicle Bashir Ahmad Beigh S/o Gh Hussan Beigh, Mohd Maqbool Bhat S/o Mohd Abdullah Bhat, Asif Ahmad Bhat S/o Mohd Maqbool Bhat, Jabeena Begum w/o Farooq Ahmad Bhat all residents of Ratnipora. (KNB)
