Srinagar 25 September (KNB): Baramulla police on Saturday seized three tippers, one tractor and one dumper in connection with an alleged illegal mineral excavation at Chakloo area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The police said that the excavation was being done to the detriment of the locals’ health by taking advantage of the pandemic.
The officials said that under the supervision of Sajjad Bukhari-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Baramulla who was assisted by Inspector Syed Showkat Ahmad SHO PS Baramulla at Chakloo Baramulla seized 01 Dumper, 03 Tippers & 01 Tractor for being involved in extracting minerals illegally.
“Violators were taking undue advantage of the pandemic situation by extracting minerals illegally to the detriment of people’s health, the ecology and the revenue of the government,” said Police official. (KNB)
