NRHM Workers Protest at Trauma Hospital, Demand Equal Salary and Timely Payments

Pattan, April 1(KNB): Workers associated with the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) staged a protest at the Trauma Hospital premises in Pattan on Tuesday, raising concerns over salary disparities and delayed payments.
The protesting workers demanded equal pay for equal work, alleging that they are being underpaid compared to other staff despite performing similar duties. They also highlighted the issue of delayed salaries, stating that payments are often not released on time, causing financial hardship.
The workers urged the authorities to address their grievances at the earliest and ensure fair wages along with timely disbursement of salaries.
Officials have not yet responded to the demands put forth by the protesting staff.
