Kulgam 25 February (KNB): Setting up an example of communal harmony; several local Muslims participated on Thursday in the cremation of a man belonging to non-Muslim faith in the south Kashmir area of Kulgam.
During the cremation of non-local, who died after remaining unwell for a short period, scores of local Muslims of the area were seen taking part in the last rites of the deceased.
The deceased, who was identified as Rajput Surinder Singh, was cremated in the locality of his area where he was residing from quite some time.
Pertinently, some days ago, a similar incident had occurred in Srinagar’s Maisuma area when the locals participated in the cremation of the non-Muslim after his death. (KNB)
