Pulwama 1 July (KNB): Body of a non-local labourer, who had fallen into River Jhelum, has been retrieved from the water body in Pulwama on Thursday.
Officials said that the 25 year old had fallen into Jhelum during the evening hours yesterday. Rescue operation was launched by SDRF along with the locals of the area but failed to locate the youth.
The body of the labour was retrieved during the afternoon hours today and has been taken into custody for medico-legal formalities, officials said, further identifying the deceased as Zeeshan Ahmad son of Ayoub Shah, resident of Uttar Pradesh state of India. (KNB)
