Srinagar:- Amid the prolonged pandemic, the authorities of different universities in Kashmir valley on Friday said that the upcoming semester examinations of students will be conducted on time without any delay while taking in account the circumstances.
The officials of the different universities running in Kashmir valley, which include Kashmir University, Central University, Cluster University and the Islamic University of Science of Technology, said that the examinations of all the semesters will be conducted on time without any delay, and the notice in this regard, would be out soon.
With the pandemic affecting academical activities badly, the educational institutions have been grappling with multiple challenges, with respect to the smooth conduct of examinations.
However, the institutions have switched to online-mode for conducting examinations.
The intermediate semester examinations have been conducted online, and students have been promoted to the next level.
While the pandemic seems no way to end soon, the promoted students are inching closer to their semester exams, after going through their exams online, in the previous semester.
The officials of multiple universities operating in Kashmir valley say that their exams will be conducted on-time, as per the prescribed examination schedule.
“We have conducted all the exams according to UGC guidelines and further examinations will be conducted on time, without any delay,” said Farooq Ahmad, Controller Examinations, Kashmir University.
The officials, however, say that the final- call for the mode of conducting examinations will be taken soon, but given the prevailing situation due to the pandemic, it seems that the exams will again be conducted through online- mode.
The officials at Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora said that the university will conduct upcoming examinations on time, while exploring all the options for the conduct of examinations, in current circumstances
