Night Curfew To Impose in All Districts of J&K, Public Transport Intake Capacity Reduced 50%: LG Manoj Sinha

Srinagar 20 April (KNB): The J&K government on Tuesday said that the night curfew would be imposed in all the 20 districts of UT from 10 pm to 6 am and restricted the passenger intaking capacity in public transport to 50%. 

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in a new Covid control measures said that Corona Curfew at night shall be extended to all Municipal/ Urban local body limits of all 20 districts of J&K. “It was already in force in eight districts earlier, from 10 pm to 6 am,” LG stated in Tweet.

LG further stated in his tweet that “Public transport (matadors / mini-buses / buses etc.,) in J&K shall be permitted to ply only at 50% of its authorized seating capacity,” adding that the District Superintendents of Police shall ensure compliance to this effect.

Sinha also said that only 50% shops in Market complexes / Bazaars / Malls within the Municipal limits / urban local body limits shall be open on an alternate basis through a rotation system.

However, LG Sinha also added in his tweet that “District magistrates of all districts shall devise a mechanism to implement this, preferably in consultation with local market associations.” (KNB)
