Srinagar, Sept 22 (KNB): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has attached Prof. (Dr.) Farooq Ahmad Jan, Medical Superintendent, SKIMS Soura, to the office of the Principal, SKIMS Medical College Bemina, pending an enquiry into his conduct.
As per Government Order No. 713-JK(HME) of 2026, issued by the Health & Medical Education Department on September 21, Prof. Jan will remain attached with SKIMS Medical College Bemina until the conclusion of the enquiry.
Meanwhile, Prof. (Dr.) G.H. Yattoo, Professor and Head of the Department of Hospital Administration at SKIMS Soura, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Medical Superintendent, SKIMS Soura, alongside his existing duties.
The order ready that the department has initiated an enquiry into Prof. Jan’s conduct, while further administrative action will be taken based on the outcome of the proceedings.(KNB)
