Srinagar 17 November (KNB): BJP National General Secretary & Incharge J&K, Tarun Chugh says Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government will audit all the misdeeds of regional parties in Jammu and Kashmir and is committed to providing justice to people.
Chugh is on his maiden visit to Kashmir after BJP general command appointed him as National Secretary and party’s J&K in-charge.
In a meeting at JawaharNagar Srinagar, while addressing the party workers, Chugh stated that the regional parties in J&K have to be audited and will have to answer on what they have been doing for the past seven decades, and BJP is committed to it.
“We will provide justice to Kashmiri mothers, brothers and sisters whose rights have been snatched by the so called leaders,” Chugh said.
He termed the Gupkar Alliance parties as “Gapkar Gang” and are exploiting and misleading the people of J&K.
Chugh said they are daydreaming, and such dreams shall never be realized. “Nobody can ever restore Article 370; neither China nor Pakistan can dare challenging India now,” he said.
Chugh said both Abdullahs and Muftis have lost the democratic political space in the region and nobody is interested in dynastic rule again.
“Everything is now to be discussed in front of the public. Some leaders have made properties in foreign countries, and all that will be investigated. BJP will never compromise on justice. Be it Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs or Christians, everyone has rights in Jammu and Kashmir now.” he added.
He said his party would never allow the Gupkar Gang to succeed in their nefarious designs.
Chugh also reviewed the preparedness of District Development Councils (DDC) and the party setup. He also held a meeting with the party workers.
He said that BJP has always been in favour to strengthen democracy in upcoming DDC elections as it would empower people at the grass-root levels.
“There are some people who are misleading the natives on 370 restoration and other things, but people understand their hunger for power,” Chugh added.
Party’s Co-Incharge Jammu and Kashmir, Ashish Sood was also present at the meeting.
He urged the party workers to work for development and progress in the region.
“Modi’s thinking goes from Panch to Parliament, and we should work for progress and development,’ he said.
During the meeting, Sood said that in Bihar, people voted for development and prosperity rather than the family rule and traditional politics.
The party workers should leave no stone unturned to win the hearts of people in upcoming DDC elections and develop J&K in every sector, Sood said.
He also appreciated the central government’s initiatives and schemes for reaching out to the people.
On the occasion, UT General Secretary and in charge Kashmir affairs, Vibodh Gupta said BJP has reached to every corner in Kashmir, and people also appreciate our work.
“We should participate in DDC elections and, our party workers should work and coordinate jointly to keep the anti-people parties away,” he said.
Gupta further added that the work of the party workers during the Covid-19 crisis is truly appreciable while other regional parties were nowhere visible on the ground.
He claimed the dream of ‘Naya Kashmir’ would be fulfilled as promised by the PM Narendra Modi led central government and Kashmir would become a hub for peace and progress. (KNB)
