Mission Youth: DC Bandipora Reviews Implementation of Programs, Holds Meeting with Youth Clubs

Bandipora 11 November (KNB): Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad on Thursday chaired a meeting to review formulation of DPRs, projects and Proposals under Mission Youth in the district. 

A statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau said that the meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, representatives of Youth Clubs  besides other senior officers of the district. 

The meeting held threadbare discussion with regard to the subject and sought suggestions from youth volunteers besides other experts. 

It was announced that several projects proposed by the district administration under mission youth will help in uplifting the socio-economic conditions of the people besides providing a platform to the youth for education and employment. 

Officers informed that a Youth Facilitation  Centre is proposed to be established in the district with several faculties including library, recreational centre, indoor playground, opera etc. Under Youth Skilling, the administration shall also propose skill development programmes  that shall help youth to equip themselves with modern skills making them employable in the market. 

It was further given out that civil services coaching and coaching for under competitive exams shall also be conducted under the mission and a detailed project shall be framed in this regard. 

The meeting also discussed development of sports facilities under mission youth including development of playgrounds and distribution of sports kits. Infrastructure development of schools shall also be proposed under the mission youth.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Owais Ahmad urged the officers to work in coordination with the civil society members so that projects can be proposed at earliest for further necessary action. (KNB)
