Srinagar 04 August (KNB): From Puhroo river in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara, a dead body of an elderly and mentally unsound man was fished out on Wednesday.
As per an official, the deceased was in his 70’s and mentally unsound. He was identified as G A Mir, a resident of Bunpora Lungate area of Handwara.
The deceased’s body was retrieved from the Puhroo river, said the official, he was missing for almost a week now without any whereabouts.
However, the body was later taken to a hospital for medical examination before handing over to family members for his last rites. (KNB)
