Srinagar, June 02 (KNB): The 51st passing away anniversary of Mujahjir-e-Milat and the Mufasire-Quran, Mirwaiz Moulana Muhammad Yousuf Shah (RA) was observed with great religious fervour and respect in Pakistan administered Kashmir and Islamabad, Pakistan. However, in Kashmir, following the imposition of strict curbs the function to pay tributes to the late Mirwiaz couldn’t take place.
In PaK, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell had organised a program to pay tributes and to remember the political, social and religious contribution of Muhajir-e-Milat in which prominent personalities of PaK and Islamabad participated. APHC convenor for Azad Kashmir chapter Syed Faiz Naqshbandi also participated in the function and shed light on the contributions of Mujahir-e-Milat.
In Kashmir, the incarcerated APHC chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, while paying rich tributes to Mirwaiz Moulanad Muhammad Yousuf Shah (RA) on his 51st death anniversary, stated that Muhajir-e-Milat was the true reflection of the genuine aspirations of the majority of people of Kashmir.
Mirwaiz said that Muhajir-e-Milat while representing the political aspirations of majority of people in Kashmir in 1947raised the voice for demanding the right to self determination and today his stand on Kashmir stands vindicated as fourth generation of Kashmir too is demanding the same right and is actively participating in the ongoing movement.
The statement said that Muhajir-e-Milat never compromised on his stand and stood like a rock forcing the then rulers to declare him as “Enemy Agent” and to force him into an exile and never allow him to return to his homeland. Mirwaiz said that Kashmiri people would always remember Mujahjir—e-Milat for his great and unforgettable contribution on social, religious and political fronts.
Mirwaiz said that while in exile, Muhajir-e-Milat continued to support Kashmir people in their just struggle with the result entire Kashmiri nation remembers this great soul with full honour and respect. Mirwaiz said that Muhajir-e-Milat gave the first Kashmiri translation of holy Quran, known as “Bayan-ul-Quran” that earned fame across the Muslim countries.
Meanwhile, Mirwaiz strongly condemned the imposition of curfew and restriction, anti-people policies of the ruling regime. (KNB)
