Srinagar 6 December (KNB):Jammu and Kashmir Police said that at about 1206hrs Srinagar police received information about a terror crime incident at Sazgaripora Hawal area of Srinagar where militants had fired upon a police party.
In a statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau officials said that senior police officers reached at the terror crime spot and preliminary investigation revealed that militants fired upon a police party of Police Station Zadibal at Sazgaripora Hawal.
“In this terror incident, one police personnel identified as Farooq Ahmad Chopan and a civilian identified as Muneer Ahmad Misger resident of Safakadal sustained bullet injuries,” officials stated, adding that the injured was shifted to nearby hospital for the treatment.
Statement further read, “Police has registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of law. Investigation is in progress and officers continue to work to establish the circumstances which lead to this terror crime.” (KNB)
