Srinagar 22 January (KNB): An unidentified militant has been killed by government forces in an ongoing encounter in south Kashmir Shopian’s Kilbal area, said police on Saturday afternoon.
The encounter started at Kilbal area of Shopian after a cordon and search operation was carried out by a joint team of Police, CRPF and Army.
In the subsequent gunfight, police said that one unidentified militant has been killed by forces. As per reports, a couple of militants were believed to be trapped at the encounter site.
However, it was also said that the operation is going on in the area at the moment. (KNB)
