Rajouri 06 May(KNB): A Militant was killed and another Militant is likely injured in an ongoing encounter with security forces in Kandi forest area of Rajouri, Army said.
According to officials, In the ongoing joint operation in Kandi Forest, Rajouri sector by Indian Army in coordination with JKP & CRPF, at approx 0700 hours the cordon while closing in spotted and pinned down the terrorists.
“In the ensuing gunbattle one Terrorist has been neutralised and other Terrorist is likely to be injured,” they said.
“AK-56 Rifle, 04 AK-56 Magazines, 56 Rounds of AK, 01 9mm Pistol with Magazine, 03 Grenades and 01 Ammunition Pouch were recovered from his procession, statement reads.
However, The identity of the slain militant is being ascertained.(KNB)
