Baramulla 06 May(KNB): A Lashker-e-Taiba (LeT) Militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in Karhama Kunzer area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday, Police said.
SSP Baramulla told news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB that, on specific information about the presence of militants in the area, Police, 2 RR of army and 176 bn of CRPF launched search operation which later triggered an encounter after hiding militants opened firing upon search parties.
He said, one LeT militant from Kulgam was killed, identified as Abid Wani S/O Mohd Rafiq Wani R/O Yarhol Babapora Kulgam and FIR has been registered in this regard.
He added the militant had plans to do terror activity in the area.(KNB)
