MeT Predicts Two Spells of Rain/Snow in J&K

‘Weather likely to remain erratic till 8th February’

Srinagar 02 February (KNB): Meteorological Department Srinagar on Wednesday expected light to moderate rain/snow to fall in J&K during 2nd to 4th and 6th to 7th of this month with main activity on 3rd February. 

The MeT official in its latest weather update said that J&K is likely to receive fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rain/snow during 2nd to 4th of this month and main activity of it predicted on tomorrow i.e. February 3rd with possibility of isolated heavy rain/snow mainly in South Kashmir & Jammu region. 

“Light rain/snow is also most likely at scattered places during 6-7th. Some places in Jammu region may receive thunderstorm/hailstorm on 3rd,” said the MeT official.  

“Overall weather is likely to remain erratic and partly to generally cloudy with occasional light snowfall at scattered places till 8th,” the official added. (KNB)
