Srinagar 12 April (KNB): As per the Meteorological department, another spell of rainfall is predicted from Wednesday night to Thursday of this week in the valley, with snowfall over higher reaches in the same period.
MeT officials said that they are predicting a light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorm in the plains of the valley and a snowfall over the higher reaches during the 14th night till to 15th April.
They further said that they are not predicting any severe weather till 14th of this month.
However, as mercury has been improving in the valley with continuously above the freezing point. The temperature recorded last night in the summer capital of J&K was 7.8 degrees C.
While, Qazigund in the north recorded 7.2 degrees C, tourist spot Pahalgam in the south recorded 4.0 degrees C and Kokernag recorded 5.8 degrees C last night.
Pertinently, Kupwara and Gulmarg in north Kashmir recorded 5.2 degrees C and -0.2 degrees C during last night, respectively. (KNB)
