Srinagar 28 May (KNB): River Police rescued a man who allegedly attempted to end his life by jumping into river Jehlum in Srinagar on Friday.
Officials said that the man, identified as Rashid Yousuf Dar, son of Mohd Yousuf Dar, resident of Indira Nagar Sonwar, jumped into the Jehlum near Abdullah bridge.
River Police present at the Pirzo side rushed to rescue the man and immediately pulled him on board safely, officials added.
Moreover, officials said that they have taken cognizance of the incident. (KNB)
