Mr Khan urged the government to ensure the provision of basic facilities in the hospital
Tangmarg, Mon, July 10(KNB):National Conference Senior YNC Block President and Constituency Spokesperson Gulmarg Shahid Reshi Khan on Monday expressed his outrage at SDH Tangmarg’s lack of basic amenities, despite serving a densely populated area and termed it unfortunate.
In a statement issued to the media, National Conference Constituency Spokesperson Shahid Reshi Khan said, the stepmother’s demeanor with SDH Tangmarg, especially with the people of the area are unfortunate, despite the status of a Sub District hospital, but the hospital is experiencing a shortage of manpower, including technicians and doctors.
He further said, the pathologist is available, but the laboratory is almost not working, as the equipment in the laboratory one decade old and cannot properly study the test.There should be a dermatologist and an ophthalmologist, as patients suffer greatly in their absence, but the role of Block Medical officer Tangmarg Dr Syed Saba is applauded as she has run the hospital excellently and almost 1,000 patients receive proper treatment every day.
He further said, the mess there is unhygienic due to dilapidated conditions, there is a possibility of a disease outbreak, and the government should issue a tender so that the local youth should be given the opportunity to run the mess.
Mr Khan appealed Hon’ble Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Syed Sehrish Asgar to deputed a team of Health department to access the basic amenities of the hospital to reduce the sufferings of patients.(KNB)
