Srinagar 31 March (KNB): Budgam Police on Wednesday said that they have arrested two militant associates of Lashkar-e-Toiba and were providing shelter, logistics and other assistance to the militants. 

“Budgam Police along with 53 RR and 43 Bn CRPF arrested two militant associates of proscribed outfit Lashker-e-Toiba involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support to the militants in Hyderpora/ Humhama areas of Budgam,” said Police.

They further added that the arrested militant associates have been identified as Aquib Ahmad wani S/o Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani R/o Laloo Sheshgari Hyderpora and Aadil Manzoor Mir S/o  Manzoor Ahmad Mir R/o Nadirgund Humhama. 

“The duo have been in touch with PaK militant commanders through various social media platforms,” said Police. 

However, incriminating material of proscribed outfit Lashker-e-Toiba has been recovered from their possession, police said. 

Officials further said that case FIR number 68/2021 stands registered against the militant associates at Police Station Budgam under relevant sections of law. (KNB)
