LAHDC Elections: Voting Begins in Leh, 94 Candiates Contesting

Leh 22 October (KNB): The voting for Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh is underway across the district in Union Territory of Ladakh.

While speaking to Kashmir News Bureau, an official said that sufficient number of officials have been deployed at all polling stations. 

Adding that strict security arrangements have been made to ensure smooth voting process in the region. 

The voting began at 08:00 am in the morning and as many as 94 candidates are in contest which include 26 each from BJP and Congress, 19 from Aam Admi Party and 23 other independent candidates.

An official confirmed that people are approaching to the polling booths to cast their votes. (KNB)
