Srinagar 3 May (KNB): A labourer, 30, died after a speedy train hit him in South Kashmir’s Kakapora area of Pulwama district on Monday.
According to an official, the accident took place at 44 point in Kakapora, when the labourer was run down by the moving train. The labourer later died on the spot of the incident, the official said.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Iqbal Dar, a resident of South Kashmir’s Kokernag area of Anantnag.
However, the body of the deceased was taken to nearby hospital to carry out a postmortem, the officials said, after completing all necessary formalities, the body would be given to the deceased’s family for observing his last rites. (KNB)
