One militant identified
Kulgam 10 October (KNB): Late hours of Saturday, two militants were killed in an encounter in Chinigam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, sources revealed.
Official sources told Kashmir News Bureau (KNB) that based on inputs a team of Police and Army’s 01RR launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Chinigam. As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the militants fired upon them after which the team retaliated, triggering off an encounter.
Later sources revealed that one of the militants is a non-local and the other is a local, identified as Tariq from Zangalpora, Kulgam.
The sources also confirmed the recovery of M4 Rifle and one pistol. (KNB)
