Srinagar 07 October (KNB): The civilians and innocents who are working for the society and are being targeted is an act of barbarism and an attempt to create a panic, said Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh on Thursday.

DGP Singh in the aftermath of the killing of two teachers by unknown gunmen in Srinagar’s Eidgah said that the civilian killings are being carried out here to harm the brotherhood between the people of J&K.

Regarding the earlier attacks,  he said that they have been working on them and Srinagar police have got enough clues in those cases.

DGP further said that the ones involved in these barbaric and gruesome acts, which are intended to harm the brotherhood of the people of J&K and to target local ethos and values, would be found out soon by police.

However, he further said the killing of the civilians is a conspiracy to defame the local Muslims. Replying to a reporter’s question, DGP said that as earlier killings were condemned by the people, this incident would also be censured by the people. (KNB)
