Srinagar 5 May (KNB): District Police Kulgam solved a kidnapping case in which the kidnapped girl was recovered, while the person involved in the heinous crime was arrested.
As per a statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau, on 19-July-2020, Police Station Manzgam received a written complaint from a family alleging that their daughter (name withheld) had been kidnapped by one person namely Imran Gorsi alias Abrar S/O Mir Mohammad Gorsi R/O Yarikha DH Pora.
“A case with FIR No. 34/2020 U/S 363, 109 IPC was registered in Police Station Manzgam and investigation was initiated,” officials said, adding that accordingly, a team headed by SHO Manzgam Insp. Salinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO DH Pora Shabir Ahmad was constituted to trace out the kidnapped girl and to nab the culprit.
“Utilizing all available means, a specific information was generated by the investigating team and during the night intervening between 4/5 May-2021, the girl was recovered and the kidnapper was arrested from Yarikha DH Pora Kulgam,” officials said.
They further said that after fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl will be handed over to her legal heirs and further investigation of the case is in progress. (KNB)
