Jammu. 26th March 2024: The J&K Sports Council distributed sports kits to trainees at Khelo India Centers in Doda and Kishtwar. The event held at Sports Stadium Doda, saw the distribution of brand-new sports training kits to approximately 180 trainees from various disciplines including Kho Kho, Pencak Silat, Athletics, Volleyball and Thang-Ta.
In a handout issued to KNB, The trainees received brand-new sports training kits during an event held at Sports Stadium Doda. Almost 180 trainees from these Khelo India Centers were in attendance. The kits were distributed out by Sh. Ajay Anand DSP Headquarters JKP Doda, in the presence of the Nodal Officer Khelo India JKSC and Chief Coach JKSC Satpal Singh.
Trainees were accompanied by their respective Mentors including Kulsooma in Kho Kho (Doda), Karan Chopra in Pencak Silat (Bhaderwah), Rajesh Kumar in Athletics (Chatroo); Mohammad Aris in Volleyball (Chatroo) and Aman Verma in Thang-Ta (Kishtwar). To make sure that the benefit reaches the real stakeholders, all relevant procedures were followed, including verifying the legitimacy of the credentials and NSRS ID’s.
Accompanying officials, parents, mentors, and trainees expressed their gratitude to Ms. Nuzhat Gul, Secretary JKSC, for meeting their long-overdue demand. Their regular training sessions will be more positive with these sports kits, which will ultimately help them perform better.-KNB
