Katua 01 April(KNB): A fierce gunfight is underway in the Panjthirthi area of Kathua, Jammu division, where security forces have killed one unidentified terrorist.
The encounter began when the joint team of forces intensified searches in the suspected area, prompting the hiding terrorists to open fire.
According to officials, the identity of the killed terrorist is yet to be ascertained. The operation is still ongoing, with security forces working to kill the remaining terrorists.
This is the third encounter in the region in the past eight days.(KNB)
