Srinagar, Sep 12 (KNB): Kashmiri musician and singer Kabul Bukhari made a debut in the Bollywood film Lafzon Mein Pyaar (2023) which was released last month.
In a statement issued to KNB by his management, Kabul said, “I have composed and sung the songs of the film. It was an honour to work with the dedicated professionals of Bollywood.”
Kabul said he got this opportunity through the producer of the film- Ashok Sawhny ‘Sahil’. “He has been following my work for a long time and he approached me personally for composing his penned lyrics and I agreed to work,” he said.
The 32-year-old singer’s ‘Fida Hone Ka Waqt Aaya’ song from the film is being highly loved by the fans in Kashmir.
Hailing from the remote Karnah area of Kupwara district, Kabul called it a ‘big opportunity’.
“It was great to work for a Bollywood film which has top actors. I too got to learn a lot,” he added.
Directed by Dhiraj Mishra and Raja Randeep Giri, the film’s star cast includes Anita Raj, Zarina Wahab, Lalit Parimoo, Mir Sarwar among others.-KNB
