Kashmir News Bureau Office Closed after Special Correspondent Tests Covid-19 Positive; Editor in Chief, Team prays for Speedy Recovery

Srinagar 10 May (KNB): News agency Kashmir News Bureau’s office has been closed after it’s special correspondent Imran Naikoo tested novel coronavirus positive on Monday.

Editor in Chief Malik Sajid along with Managing Editor Malik Sumeed, Multimedia team and Editing team held a virtual meeting on Zoom and prayed for the speedy recovery of Imran, who has been covering the Covid-19 situation fervently amid the deadly second wave in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar.

During the meeting Editor in Chief said that main office of the news agency (KNB) will remain closed for one week and assured that decontamination of the premises will be done.

He also said, “We request every one who has come in contact of Imran Naikoo in past days to take all necessary precautions and get tested as well, to determine if the virus has been contracted.”

“I also urge people who have any professional matters to discuss to contact me, or the team on mobile phones and not visit the office as it’ll remain closed for atleast one week,” he added.

Furthermore, Malik Sumeed and all the members of Kashmir News Bureau made special prayer for speedy recovery of Imran and made a request for the same from the audience and readers.

“It is our humble request to the audience and readers of Kashmir News Bureau to pray for the speedy recovery of Imran Naikoo,” Malik Sumeed said. (KNB)
