Srinagar 3 May (KNB): A youth went missing, and his two associates were injured in an attack by a wild bear on Sunday when the trio was on a trek to the Dumail area in the upper reaches of Naranag in the Ganderbal district.
Officials said that the rescue operation was resumed today after being called off last evening due to darkness to find the missing youth.
However, the official identified the missing man as Javiad Nabi Mir, resident of Wangath, who was suspected of having hurtled down from the mountain height during the attack by the bear.
Pertinently, the other two injured in the incident were rescued and shifted to a local hospital for treatment. (KNB)
