JRL refutes NIA charge sheet and Army Chief’s statement

Srinagar, Jan 18 (KNB): The Joint Resistance of Leadership (JRL) today addressing a press conference at Mirwaiz Manzil Srinagar in which they refuted the charges mentioned in the charge sheet filed by National Investigation Agency (NIA) in terror funding case against the Hurriyat leaders. The leaders also reacted over the statements of Army Chief General Bipin Rawat and said the recent statements can’t cow down Kashmiries. 
The press conference jointly addressed by Syed Ali Geelani (on Telephone) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik demanded the unconditional release of all the Hurriyat leaders detained in Tihar jail Srinagar in alleged terror funding case. The leaders terming the charge sheet baseless said if they (detained leaders) are charged for 2016 uprising then why no action was taken against us who used to issue protest calendars in 2016, adding, all the leaders currently lodged in Tihar are innocent and have no role in 2016 uprising as they also were under house arrest during that period.  
Yasin Malik on the occasion while terming the detention of leaders in funding case as kidnapping, said, the move is aimed to blackmail the leadership to force us to hold talks with the interlocutor. 
Reacting the statement of Army Chief Bipin Rawat wherein he said “People in Jammu and Kashmir are tired of militancy as they have realised that it cannot give them what they want,” the JRL said from the past days the statement by the Army Chief reflects that India is now all set to address the Kashmir issue with military might.
