JNU Student Leader Aishe Ghosh Going to Contest West Bengal Assembly Election

Srinagar 11 March (KNB): Aishe Ghosh, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Students’ Union President, who was last year attacked during the protest and had received injuries, is going to contest the Assembly Election in West Bengal from Jamuria.

As per reports, Ghosh — a  member of the CPM’s student union wing — is going to contest election on the ticket of CPM in West Bengal, which will start from March 27.

Aishe Ghosh had taken admission in JNU to pursue her PG after graduating in Political Science from Delhi’s one of the colleges and became President of JNU’s Students Union in 2019.

However, Ghosh, a left-leaning, is currently pursuing her doctorate from JNU in International Relations.

Pertinently, Aishe Ghosh also tweeted that “Will be contesting from Jamuria Legislative Assembly Seat as candidate of the CPI(M), supported by the Sanyukt Morcha. Requesting all of your support.” (KNB)
