Srinagar 2 November (KNB): The Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) holds a protest against the J&K’s New Land Laws by the Centre.
Abdul Qayoom Wani leading the protest said, “first the special status of J&K was taken and now the changes in the land laws of J&K have been made, we the people of J&K don’t accept it at all”.
He said, “They have put J&K on sale, this is an attack on our culture, our resources and on everyone of us, we demand the government to make changes in this Land Law”.
“We condemn all the laws that have been made or changed post 5th august (2019), including the recent laws implemented in J&K against the interest of government employees, this law is to end the job security of Govt. employees,” he said.
He further raised the concern over press freedom and the right to speech and expression. “We are being oppressed and we will raise our voice against this oppression on every platform, the JKCSF will act as the whistle blower and say it loud that all these laws are an attack on all the regions and people of J&K”.
I request every citizen of J&K to fight against these laws and not accept them now matter what, he said. (KNB)
