J&K teachers forum stands with NMOPS for peaceful Protest on 30 Dec at Press Club Jammu

Jammu 28 December (KNB):The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum has extended support to the peaceful protest call given by NMOPS on Friday December 30 at press club Jammu for the restoration of OPS.

According to the statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, the provincial spokesperson of the JK Teachers Forum, Tahir Ahmad Sofi said that “the entire leadership of the Teachers Forum headed by its Chairman Mohammad Amin Khan ,Provincial President Shokwet Ali beigh, Chief Spokesman Syed Sajad ,Gen secretary Shabir Ahmad,Cashier Muzafer ahmad dar,and All state and Provincial body stands with the NPS employees for their struggle to restore OPS.”

He added “the demand for the restoration of OPS is genuine and a legitimate demand of employees and the leadership of the forum, has decided to give full support to NMOPS on Peaceful Protest for OPS scheduled to be held at press club Jammu on 30th of December 2022.”

He further said the suitable benefits for the employees after the retirement is the responsibility of the govt and the NPS scheme is an injustice with employees and urged upon the authorities to restore OPS for the safety of the employees and their families.

The leadership of the forum appealed to employees of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir to make 30 December protest a day of success, unity and victory for the restoration of OPS. statement further added (KNB)
