Jammu January 05 (KNB): Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum on Thursday condemned police lathicharge on REK Employees.

In a Statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, spokesperson Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forums Tahir Ahmad Sofi has strongly condmened the arbitrary police lathicharge on the Rehbari khel employees.

The Chairman M.Amin khan has termed it as anti employee and anti nation builder policy to supress the voice and legitimate rights of thousands of employees. It is a blot on the justice of these employees, spokesperson said in a statement.

Sofi said that Rek employees of the UT are on roads along with the migrant employees, Reserve catagory employees and other lakhs of NPS employees and government is not responding to their issues instead of this they are harrassed, detained and lathicharged.

He said the employees are the part and parcel of the administration and have given their blood and sweat while working in the department for the past many years, are being victimized by the government by refusing to address their service issues and request the authorities to ensure these protesting employees get justice.

The Leadership has requested the LG administration to concede the demands of the employees instead of the arbitrary action on them. Policeman is itself is prey of anti employee policies and they too need several provisions under the democratic principles .

The entire Leadership of JKTF including Cheif Spokesman Syed Sajad , Provincial President Showket Ali beigh,Gen Secretary Shabir Ahmad,State Secretary Gh Nabi Sofi ,Financial Secretary Muzaffar ahmad dar ,All State and Provincial Leadership, and District leadership of the whole union territory of J&K has requested the adminstration to frame a high level committee to gauge the issues and needs of the employees at all level and the authorities must give them a patient hearing and fullfill their genuine demands, statement added.
