Srinagar 9 July (KNB): Jammu and Kashmir on Friday reported 261 new positive cases of novel Corona virus and One death from Kashmir region.
115 cases were reported from Jammu division and 146 from Kashmir division through out the day, thus taking the total number of positive cases in the Union Territory to 318284, officials said in a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau, adding that One death due to the virus was reported from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, as per the officials, 304 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 115 from Jammu Division and 189 from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 92.58 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials also informed that No confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 31 in the UT of J&K.
According to the statement, out of 318284 positive cases, 3300 are Active Positive, 310630 have recovered and 4354 have died; 2125 in Jammu division and 2229 in Kashmir division.
It said that out of 10501931 test results available, 10183647 samples have been tested as negative till today.
As per the officials, Srinagar has 70569 positive cases (including 59 cases reported today) with 649 Active Positive, 69088 recovered (including 60 cases recovered today) and a total number of 832 deaths due to the virus so far. (KNB)
