J&K Police announce Cash Rewards Totaling Up to Rs 12.50 Lakh to Combat ‘Anti-National Activities

Srinagar, December 31(KNB): The Jammu and Kashmir, police have announced a comprehensive cash reward up to Rs 12.50 lakh for person providing crucial information and intelligence regarding trans border tunnel, drones and other various activities of anti national activities

According to an official statement released on X, the J&K Police, Jammu and Kashmir Police has announced cash reward for the people who will provide information & intelligence on trans border tunnels, drones, narcotics, terror activities,and terrorists. General public can share such information with district SSsP. The identity of the person will be kept secret.

The initiative highlights a tiered reward structure designed to incentivize actionable intelligence. Persons divulging information about trans-border tunnels utilized by anti-national elements stand to receive a substantial Rs 5 lakh reward. Furthermore, individuals reporting sightings of drones originating from across the border and providing intel about the recipients will be eligible for a Rs 3 lakh reward, statement added.

Moreover, the police department has allocated Rs 2 lakh for each valuable piece of information concerning inter-state narcotics networks, communication between individuals in J&K with Pakistan-based terrorists or separatists incarcerated in jails, and any contact or association with terrorist handlers or their local agents. There’s also a provision for Rs 1 lakh reward for individuals revealing details about those inciting or persuading people to join terrorist ranks and engage in violence.

The reward system extends further, offering varying sums from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 12.50 lakh for individuals providing specific and actionable information leading to successful operations resulting in the arrest or neutralization of terrorists. The cash reward will be distributed based on categorized success levels—classified as Category A, B, and C

Additionally, the J&K Police assured the public that the identity of informants will be kept confidential, encouraging citizens to contribute to the effort to safeguard the region against anti-national threats.(KNB)
