Sopore 3 April (KNB): After three teachers tested positive for the novel coronavirus, authorities on Saturday ordered the closure of an education institution in Sopore, Baramulla district.
Officials said that as some teachers have tested positive for the Covid-19 virus earlier, Girls Higher Secondary school Sopore will remain closed for next seven days.
Officials added that the measure has been taken to prevent the deadly virus from spreading and no activity, either from the staff or students will be allowed during the given time frame.
Pertinent to mention that as there is huge spike in Covid-19 cases lately across the Union Territory, the government on Friday said that deputy Commissioners (DMs) shall take call on keeping open or closing the schools in their respective districts. (KNB)
