J&K BJP Holds Rally Against Mehbooba Mufti’s National Flag Statement

Srinagar 26 October (KNB): Number of J&K BJP party members gathered at Tagore Hall to protest against the statement of former J&K CM and PDP’s Leader Mehbooba Mufti, regarding Indian National flag.

Kashmir News Bureau reports that BJP party members held a rally at Tagore Hall Srinagar and are likely to head towards the residence of Mehbooba Mufti.

Members of BJP including Sofi Yousuf were raising Pro National slogans as they headed out of the park’s main gate.

On Friday, first time Mufti addressed reporters since her release from 14-month detention, had said ‘When this flag of ours is restored, we will raise that flag (Indian flag) also. But we will not raise any other flag till the time our flag, which was robbed from us, is back in our hand’.

A day after her statement, ‘right wingers’ allegedly attacked the office of PDP in Jammu.

PDPs Firdous Tak Tweeted, “Jammu office of  @jkpdp attacked just now. Few right wingers barged inside and even physically assaulted me and @ParvezWaffa”. (KNB)
