J&K Bank CMD RK Chibber Gets Another Six Month Extension

Srinagar 31 March (KNB): Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has extended the term of Chairman and Managing Director of J&K Bank, RK Chibber for the period of six months.

A letter by the Company Secretary, Mohammad Shafi Mir, said, “Pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, we wish to intimate that the Reserve Bank of India has extended the term of Mr. R. K. Chibber, Chairman and Managing Director of the Bank by a further period of six months with effect from 10th April, 2021 or till the appointment of MD & CEO, whichever is earlier.”

“This is for your information and appropriate dissemination,” the letter sent to NSE and BSE stated.

Pertinent to mention that RBI had approved the appointment of R K Chhibber as interim Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Bank in June 2019, after the removal of Parvez Ahmed from the post. Since then, his term has been extended several times.(KNB)
