Pulwama 09 Nov (KNB): An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Darganaie Gund village of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District on Friday morning.
According to reports reached to Kashmir News Bureau “JeM militant has been killed and a policeman was injured in Darganae Gund Village of Tral area of Pulwama district.”
“After recieving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area a joint search was launched in the village after which a Gunfight erupted between security forces and militants” , said an Army official.
According to sources, the forces have blocked all the entry and exit points to the village.
“We have tightened the cordon to ensure that militants don’t escape from the area,” said the official.
Meanwhile, Mobile Internet service has been suspended in District Awantipora of South kashmir which includes Tral, Awantipora and Pampore areas. (KNB)
