Srinagar 15 August (KNB): The Government on Sunday informed that 97 new positive cases of novel Corona virus, 21 from Jammu division and 76 from Kashmir division, have been reported today.
As per a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau, out of the 97 new Covid-19 cases, 28 were reported from the summer capital Srinagar.
Moreover, the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir has now reached to 323422.
Also, two Covid deaths have been reported; 01 from Jammu division and 01 from Kashmir division.
Moreover, 110 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 45 from Jammu Division and 65 from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 99.69 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.
The statement said that no new confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 42 in the UT of J&K.
According to the statement, out of 323422 positive cases, 1288 are Active Positive, 317737 have recovered and 4397 have died; 2157 in Jammu division and 2240 in Kashmir division.
It further said that out of 12577021 test results available, 12253599 samples have been tested as negative till today. (KNB)
