The conversation, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), primarily focused on the ongoing military escalation in Gaza and its surrounding areas.
Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, expressed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to pursuing international and regional cooperation to quell the current escalation. He stressed the Kingdom’s unwavering stance against targeting civilians and the loss of innocent lives.
Mohammad bin Salman further emphasized the importance of upholding international humanitarian law and voiced deep concern about the dire humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip and its impact on civilians.
Meanwhile, Iran’s official news agency IRNA provided another perspective on the call, stating that in their first interaction, President Ebrahim Raisi and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman underscored the unity of the Islamic world.
They attributed the cause of insecurity in the region to what they termed as “Zionist regime’s crimes” and the alleged support from the United States.
