Kupwara 08 Mar (KNB): International Women’s Day across the globe was celebrated today to commemorate the contribution of the women to the society especially in the modern era, which resulted in overall development of the society to a large extent and the same has been appreciated by everyone.
Keeping the above as background, an interactive session was inducted at Machhal youth centre by Indian Army, wherein a total of 42 ladies took part. The major gathering was witnessed from the Teenage group of local girls consisting of school students from class 8th to 12th.
Selected girls read out their minds to the gathering, to include history of Women’s Day celebration, aim of celebrating the day across the globe, desire of the women to become integral part of overall development of the society and also dwelled on having equal share/ responsibility to build a strong Nation.
The event was a great success as each and every women present in the celebration had an active participation.(KNB)
