Pulwama 18 May (KNB): A non-local, who was arrested in connection with a drug case, died after losing consciousness at Sub-Jail Pulwama.
Officials said that an accused in a drug case fell unconscious inside the jail and was rushed to District Hospital Pulwama for treatment.
At the hospital, doctors declared him dead, officials said, further identifying the deceased inmate as Harpinder Singh son of Harbajan Singh, R/o Aadi Gurdaspora.
Officials confirmed that after completing all legal formalities, the dead body of Singh will be handed over to his family.
Pertinent to mention that police had arrested Harinder Singh in a drug case and was lodged at Sub-Jail Pulwama under NDPS Act. (KNB)
