Srinagar 16 August (KNB): India has recorded 35,909 covid19 recoveries, which is more than the total cases, 32,937, reported in the last 24 hours across the country, with 417 deaths during the same period, as per Union Health Ministry.
As per the ministry, a total of 3,14,11,924 covid patients have recovered so far in the country and 35,909 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.
“The active caseload of the country currently stands at 3,81,947, which constitutes 1.18 percent of total cases in India,” said the Health Ministry.
It further said that the daily positivity rate at present is 2.79 percent, less than 3 percent for the last 21 days. “Weekly Positivity Rate remains below 5 percent, which is currently at 2.01 percent,” it added.
The ministry further said that 54.58 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and testing capacity substantially ramped up with 49.48 Cr total tests conducted. (KNB)
